  • Dear Burden -- Please ignore any information you might recieve about the effectiveness of vaccines or the increasing drug resistent strains of many bacteria, because it is only a theory that the vaccines might work or that the bacteria might kill you (and many of us) in the future.

  • There is a generational difference, which could be perceived as a lack of this or that. Every generation experiences this, and every older generation bemoans the lack of civility in the younger generations. This is not a new story.

  • It is tragic and horrific, but perhaps there's some sort of darwinian selection taking place. You don't pass on your genes if your kids can't make it to reproductive maturity.

  • I believe the article said the baby was 2 1/2 MONTHS old, not years. It doesn't make this any less tragic, but there is a huge behavior difference between these two ages.
